In Memory of Greg Malouf
A Culinary Vision That Lives On
In 2023, Salon Cuma had the privilege of having Michelin-starred chef Greg Malouf on board as a menu consultant. Malouf’s visionary approach to cooking allowed him to become a pioneer of modern Middle Eastern cuisine. Our time spent with him inspired our own culinary philosophy and left an indelible mark on our kitchen. Greg believed that food is one of the most powerful ways to connect and heal in the wake of tragedy. After a devastating earthquake hit Türkiye during the time we spent working together, we saw his belief in action: what started as a jointly hosted charity dinner to raise funds became an evening where generosity, creativity, and community came together at one table. Greg Malouf’s untimely passing was a tremendous loss to the culinary world, but we’re comforted by the memories of him still alive in our kitchen. Traces of his artistry continue to shape our menus and the dining experience we create for our guests.
